What it is, and what it is not
- NShine ERP records the E-Way bill number and validity on the booking; it does not generate E-Way bills. Generation stays on the GST portal or your provider.
- The value of keeping it here is that the LR, the invoice, the truck and the driver are on the same record, so an expiring bill is found by looking at the load, not by searching email.
Finding expiring bills
Build a report on Bookings with LR number, vehicle, pickup date, Eway Bill No and Valid Date, filter by date range, save it. Open it each morning for the loads moving today.
A load with an E-Way bill
- Generate the E-Way bill on the portal against the goods invoice.
- Create the booking with the goods invoice number, date and value, and the E-Way bill number and valid date.
- Print the LR; the bill details are on the record the driver's load is tied to.
- Open the saved report for loads whose validity ends today or tomorrow.
- Extend on the portal if needed; update the valid date on the booking.
