The service record
The tasks are whatever your fleet does: foam washing, AC filter change, oil filter change, air filter change, engine oil change, gear box, denting, water wash, AC gas filling, oil change, grease work. Service types such as "10000 Service" and "30000 kms" group them.
- Service number (VS124 and so on), vehicle, service date, odometer reading
- Service provider: a garage, a parts shop, or your own mechanic
- Payment type and tax rate
- Task table with Labor, Parts and Sub Total per row
- Gross amount, tax, grand total, round-off, net total
- Notes and maintenance files
How a service and its reminders work
- Log the service with its tasks, labour and parts; attach the bill.
- The net total is on the vehicle and in the Vehicle Maintenance Statement.
- Each recurring task carries its frequency; the reminder shows the next date and odometer.
- Odometer readings come from fuel entries, services and the driver app.
- When either passes, the reminder reads Over Due; log the next service from it.
